I have had many shows and events since my last blog post.
Hopefully I will be able to write about some of them soon.
Today, I will tell you about my event on July 21, 2017 at Armani Casa, a new, not yet finished two tower building in Chengdu .
I was invited to live paint for select VIP guests and international dignitaries. The event was on the 66th floor where one can enjoy fantastic views on Chengdu with its rivers and attractions.
I had to follow a couple of rules: one was to paint leaves similar to the ones that are part of the interior design as well as appear on the buildings facade, the second that I had to use my hands during some of the process.
I had never ever painted with my hands before, but I love to try something new and reinventing myself.
The organizers had prepared a challenging 3mx3m canvas and steps to reach the top. Since the audience was sitting, I decided to work rather on top than on bottom where it would have been difficult to see what I do.
I painted one and a half hours before dinner and finished 7 leaves.
A great dinner buffet welcomed guests and myself and I got to know several of my new fans.
After dinner I worked another hour or so and added another 4 leaves.
This work might never be really finished, but even with the 11 leaves, my friend titled it „Armani by Antonio Wehrli“. What a great name!
It was a wonderful evening. All enjoyed themselves fabulously.
